President of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick has secured a seat into FIFA council after most of his running mates pulled out of the race.
Amaju Pinnick becomes the second Nigerian to be elected into the Executive council of the World Football Governing Body after Dr Amos Adamu.
While reacting to his victory, the NFF boss expressed his gratitude to Preaident Muhammadu Buhari who he claimed supported from the first day he made his ambition known to him.
He revealed that being a memberr of the council is a huge positive for the country and he will work with other members to see how football can be repositioned in the world.
