Bordeaux of France and Nigerian winger Samuel Kalu has tested positive for Covid-19, becoming the second Super Eagles star to contract the disease after Genk forward Paul Onuachu.
Kalu has been quarantined in France since returning from Nigeria, and a report from AFP confirmed that the player was announced by his club to have contracted the Corona virus on July 6.
The winger has missed some of the team’s training sessions and may be left out of some of the club’s pre-season games.
However, his Super Eagles colleague, Paul Onuachu who tested positive to the deadly virus has now been confirmed negative in the latest tests conducted on him
It will be recalled that Kalu was taken to hospital during AFCON 2019 in Egypt on the eve of the Super Eagles opening match after he slumped on the training ground.
