OTD in 2018, Anthony Joshua knocked out Alexander Povetkin at Wembley Stadium (video)
On September 22nd, 2018 Anthony Joshua knocked out Alexander Povetkin at Wembledy Sradium.
Many fans wanted Joshua to become undisputed against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.
However, Joshua who held the WBO, WBA, IBF, and IBO heavyweight boxing champion decided to fight one of his mandatories.
Povetkin was Joshua’s mandatory and while many thought it would be an easy fight it was not.
Povetkin caught Joshua a few times and changed his approach to be more cautious.
Joshua however would knockout Povetkin with a combination of punches late in the seventh round.
