Asisat Oshoala helps Barcelona Femeni advance to Women’s Champions League semifinal (video)
Super Falcons of Nigeria striker Asisat Oshoala was in action for Barcelona Femeni as they beat Atletico Madrid 1-0 to win their UEFA Women’s Champions League
quarterfinal clash played on Friday, August 21st.
Asisat Oshoala was giving a rare start for the crucial game by Lluis Cortes.
However, the game ended goalless at the halftime break despite several chances for Barcelona Femeni.
The second half was more of the same but Oshoala would prove vital as she provided the goal for Kheira Hamraoui in the 80th minute.
Oshoala would be taken off for Aitana Bonmati in the 82nd minute after the lead for Barcelona Femeni.
Barcelona Femeni would hold on for the win and progress to the UEFA Women’s Champions League semifinal.
