ASUU set to call off strike after 8 months
After eight months of inaction, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has agreed to call off its strike.
This was announced on Friday, November 27th, in the capital Abuja.
The decision to call of the strike came after a meeting with Dr. Chris Ngige of Minister of Labour and Employment who is leading the Federal Government team.
At the meeting, N70 billion was pledged by the Federal Government of Nigeria to ASUU.
