The South African female football team Banyana Banyana have celebrated their qualification for the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup Of Nations (WAFCON) final.
The Banyana Banyana defeated the Copper Queens of Zambia 1-0 in the semi-final on Monday 18 July at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco.
Linda Molthalo scored the only goal of the game in the 94th minute by converting a penalty.
The Banyana Banyana took to their Twitter handle to celebrate the victory.
“Full-time!! 0-1 Banyana Banyana are in the #TotalEnergiesWAFCON2022FINAL!!!!!,”they Tweeted.
They play the winner of the second semi final between the Super Falcons of Nigeria and the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco which takes place later tonight at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium Rabat, Morocco.
