Arsenal’s young sensation Gabriel Martinelli has put pen to paper as he commits his future to the club in a long term contract.
The Brazilian under-23 international joined the club from Ituano last year and has been an instant hit as he has already reached double figures in terms of goals.
His contract extension comes two days after his teammate Bukayo Saka signed a long term contract with the club.
For the first time in 34 years, Arsenal produced two teenagers who reached double figures in terms of assists and goals respectively.
Bukayo Saka who is 18 years old has 11 assist while Gabriel Martinelli, 19 has 10 goals so far this season.
While reacting to Martinelli’s contract extension Arsenal’s coach Mikel Arteta said ;
” I am very happy that Gabi has signed a new contract with us. He is a very talented young player and he has impressed us with his performances, attitude and work-rate. We are looking forward to getting him back to full fitness and to watching his development at our club.”
