Nigerian athlete Oluwatobiloba Amusan will not compete in the final of the Women’s 100m Hurdles event at the ongoing Paris Olympic Games.
In what will be considered as one of the biggest shocks of the games, Tobi Amusan failed to win her heat and failed to make the finals.
The world record holder finished 3rd in her heat with a time of 12.55s. Amusan lost the qualification slots to Grace Stark who clocked a time 12.39s and Devynne Charlton with 12.50s.
Tobi Amusan finished 9th overall in the semi-finals of the heats which ruled her out of a chance to make it to the finals.
The former world champion unfortunate run continues at the Olympics having finished 4th at the last Olympics in 2021.
Tobi Amusan posted a time of 12.06s in 2022 at the World Athletics Championship in Eugene, Oregon 59 become the world champion.
Nigeria continue to wait for her first medal at the Paris Olympics Games as it ends this Sunday.
