Super Eagles creative midfielder Alex Iwobi is set to join Fulham from Everton for a fee in the region of £22m including ad ons with a few hours to the end of the transfer window.
According to Sky Sports, Fulham and Everton have already reached an agreement as regards the transfer fee and the player has already completed his medical check-up.
Alex Iwobi had a brilliant 2022/2023 season at Goodison Park as he was voted the club’s player of the year. The Nigerian midfielder was instrumental to the club’s relegation survival last season as he provided 7 assists and scored 2 goals.
Iwobi offers Fulham not just creativity but also tactical flexibility. The 27-years-old is tactically adaptable as he play a couple of positions in the midfield.
Fulham boss, Marco Silva is looking to further strengthen his midfield options with the potential departure of Portuguese midfielder, Joao Paulinha who is likely to join Bayern Munich.
Reports suggest that the London club are in talks with Manchester United for the transfer of Scottish midfielder, Scott McTominay who appears not to be in the plans of Erik Ten Hag this season.
Manchester United have indicated that only a substantial fee will make the club to consider selling the 26-year-old midfielder.
