Kano State has just recorded its very first case of Coronavirus after more than six weeks since the novel Pandemic broke out in Nigeria.
Kano State becomes the sixth state including the F.C.T Abuja to have confirmed cases of Coronavirus after cases of the Pandemic was recorded in Abuja, Kastina, Kaduna, Niger and Bauchi.
According to Kano State Commissioner for Health: Ibrahim Tsanwaya,the patient was diagnosed at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
The patient, according to sources has now been transferred to the isolation centre in Kwanar Dawaki, Kano.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria to 306 with Lagos State having the highest number of patients (163).
A total number of 58 patients have been discharged and 7 deaths have also been recorded as at the time of this publication.
