“It’s exciting to be back playing in the Premier League. It’s the best league in the world and I always want to challenge myself.

“I know some of the boys well already which is good for me, but I’m excited to meet the rest of my teammates and get to know everyone.

“I saw Forest in action last season and the fans are as loud as can be throughout the whole game, which is something I’m relishing and can’t wait to experience. I can’t wait for it.”

The Chelsea academy graduate had a very successful youth career with two FA Youth Cups, two UEFA Youth League titles, and a U21 Premier League title as a youngster.

The 26-year-old, however, didn’t play for the senior team for long as he moved abroad. Aina played for Torino in the Italian Serie for five years making 113 appearances.

The versatile defender played for Fulham in the 2021/2022 season and his brilliant strike against West Bromwich Albion which won the Premier League Goal of the Month Award for November was also nominated for the league’s Goal of the Season Award.
