Breaking! Real Madrid beat Liverpool to win 14th Champions League title!

Real Madrid, the Spanish giant, won the UEFA Champions League on Saturday night, defeating Liverpool by a single goal.

Madrid won their 14th European title in the Stade de France in Paris, just like they did in 2018.

Both teams went into the halftime break with no goals after the first 45 minutes of a highly competitive game.

In the 59th minute, Vinicius Junior broke the deadlock for Los Blancos, knocking in a low cross from Fede Valverde.

Liverpool made a stronger effort to equalize. But thanks to Thibaut Courtois, who produced a number of outstanding saves during the game, preventing Mo Salah and Sadio Mane from scoring at separate occasions.

Liverpool’s revenge mission against Madrid and pursuit of a seventh UCL title were thwarted as Madrid defended valiantly till the final whistle.

Jurgen Kloop now has a joint record with Marcelo Lippi as the manager with the most defeats in a Champions League final having lost three each.

Carlo Ancelotti on the other hand becomes the most successful manager in the history of the competition with four titles having won two with AC Milan (2003 and 2007) and Real Madrid (2014 and 2022)
