Breaking! Super Eagles Qualify for AFCON 2025!

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco with two games to spare.

The three-time African champions only needed a point against Benin Republic tonight to qualify for the tournament.

However, Libya defeated Rwanda in Kigali 1-0 via a late goal which means the Super Eagles have secured qualification without kicking a ball against Benin Republic.

The result in Kigali changes the dynamics in Group D with Libya having a chance to qualify for AFCON if they win their last game against Benin Republic in Benghazi on Monday.

The North Africans will hope that the Super Eagles will do them a favour by defeating Rwanda in Uyo on Monday as well.

For Benin Republic, the Cheetars need to avoid defeat against the Super Eagles tonight and against Libya to stand a chance of qualifying for next year’s competition.
