Deontar Wilder and the “Gypsy King”: Tyson Fury will square for the third time in less than two years after the former activated the rematch clause in their second fight on the 22nd of February at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Nevada. Tyson Fury knocked out Deontar Wilder in the seventh round via a technical knockout to end Wilder’s five-year reign as the WBC Champion as the Gypsy King now has the Lineal, Ring Magazine and WBC titles with him.
Deontar Wilder formally requested the third rematch against Fury and posted on social media what fans should expect later in the year. He wrote; “The war has just begun and I will rise again.”

The third rematch is set to take place on the 18th of July this year and according to Bob Arum: Tyson Fury’s promoter: “I figured he(Wilder) would do it because I have had enough experience with rematches to know that anything can happen and guys can change their strategy and want the opportunity to [avenge] the loss,”
The venue of the third rematch will be at the same venue where Tyson Fury won the WBC belt: The MGM Grand Garden Arena, Nevada.
