Copa Del Rey: You are not serious! – Ronald Koeman blasts Barcelona players for missing two penalties!

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has hit out at his players for missing two penalties despite their two-nil win over Segunda division side, Cornella in the round of 32 of the Copa Del Rey.

Ronald Koeman expressed his disappointment as French winger, Ousmane Dembele and Bosnian midfielder, Miralem Pjanic both failed to convert their spot-kicks in regulation time as the game went into extra time.

Ronald Koeman in a post-match press conference revealed that it is unacceptable for Barcelona players to miss two penalties in a game. He also added that perhaps the players were scared to do so even though they are players that can take penalties in the team.

I don’t understand because normally there are enough players who can score penalties.

Maybe they are scary. I don’t know. Several players have failed and, above all, if you score one of the two penalties, you calm down.

You cannot miss two penalties as Barca players. It’s not serious.

Miralem Pjanic and Ousmane Dembele now join three other Barcelona players: Messi, Braithwaite and Griezmann who have missed penalty kicks under Ronald Koeman.

However, Ousmane Dembele got the chance to redeem himself in extra time as he got the opening goal in the 92nd minute before Martin Braithwaite added the second just before the blast of the final whistle.
