COVID 19 rules out Real Madrid defender Varane against Liverpool
There is breaking news ahead of the UEFA Champions League first leg affair between Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid and Premier League side Liverpool.
It has been confirmed that Real Madrid defender Raphaël Varane has tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus.
A statement on the official Real Madrid website confirmed this.
The statement said, “Real Madrid C. F. informs that our player Raphaël Varane tested positive in the COVID-19 test he underwent this morning.”
The news about Varane means he will miss the game against Liverpool and possibly the weekend La Liga clash in El Clasico against rivals Barcelona
