Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the greatest goalscorer as Juventus win Super Cup
Cristiano Ronaldo became the greatest goalscorer in professional football history as Juventus beat Napoli 2-0 to win the Italian Super Cup on Wednesday, January 20th.
There were no goals in the first half but in the 64th minute, Ronaldo put Juventus in front.
The second goal came in the 90th minute when Alvaro Morata converted a ball by Juan Cuadrado.
The goal for Ronaldo means that he now has 760 professional strikes in 1,040 games.
It also means that Ronaldo has now scored more goals than any other player on record, surpassing Josef Bican’s official total of 759.
Ronaldo took to his official social media account to post celebrating the victory along with a message that said, “Very happy with my 4th title in Italy… We are back! This is the Juve we love, this is the team we trust and this is the spirit that will lead to the wins we want! Well done, guys! Fino Alla Fine!
