Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player in the history of the UEFA Champions League to reach 100 goals and the Portuguese captain achieved this feat in grand style against Bayern Munich in the second leg of Real Madrid’s semi-finals match.

The showdown between the two European heavyweights is still regarded as one of the most controversial matches in the history of the competition as Cristiano Ronaldo’s hattrick gave Real Madrid 4-2 win over Bayern Munich.

It was a defining moment for Ronaldo as he became the first player in the history of the competition to score 100 goals.
