Nigerian Actress and Psychologist, Victoria Inyama has advised women in the country, especially young ladies to dress properly and comport themselves adequately so as to reduce the risk of getting raped.
She said most men that have mental issues and most often than not they are triggered by the kind of clothes ladies to put on which shows sensitive parts of their body.
Victoria Inyama also said the Nigerian Government is not ready to protect women against rape unlike the United States and other countries in Europe.
She took to her verified Instagram page to advise ladies further.
She said;
”Β It’s obvious to me that the Nigerian government is not really ready to put a fixed penalty to Rape and so l beg my ladies (minus the minors or aged victims) to plsssss π dress in appropriate clothing so as to reduce the trigger for the perpetrators……A lot of these Perpetrators have underlying mental health issues & being around them in certain clothing is a trigger…..sadly the victim still gets to be shamed & ridiculed, so since this government is not ready to do much, it would be wise to safeguard yourself.”
“Yes, it’s not about the dressing some will say & compare with Europe & America but remember they take Rape cases seriously unlike Nigerian…..Think about itπ€”

What will reduce rape is that the courts convict offenders within 2 months. This will send d right signals. It's only serious governments that can end rape. Nigerian government from top to bottom has not shown any seriousness. It's only Ekiti state that is trying 2 do something.
