“Enjoy whatever is next,” Victor Moses lauds Mikel Obi on retirement

Former Super Eagles winger Victor Moses has hailed Nigerian legend Mikel Obi following his retirement announcement.

Obi who played for the Super Eagles for 14 years and Premier League club, Chelsea for 11 years announced his retirement today on social media.

“There is a saying that ‘all good things must come to an end’, and for my professional football career that day is today.

“I look back at the past 20 years of my career, and I must say that I am very satisfied with all I was able to achieve and, more importantly the human it has helped shape.”

Moses took to Twitter to hail the Super Eagles icon.

“Happy retirement to this legend. Great memories brother. Enjoy whatever is next @mikel_john_obi.”

Obi won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa Cup, the African Nations Cup, two Premier League titles and four FA Cup titles.
