Nigerian Champions, Enyimba of Aba began their quest for continental glory this season with 2-1 victory over Al Ahly Benghazi at the Aba International Stadium.
Midfielder, Austin Oladapo broke the hearts of those who played 10 minutes draw as he gave Enyimba the lead on the 10th minute via his trademark long-range effort.
However, Enyimba’s lead didn’t last long as the away side restored parity 8th minutes via a spot kick which was calmly converted by Abdallah Imhamed.
With two minutes to half-time, Enyimba proved to their guest that they still have some magic off their sleeves as Victor Mbaoma restored the lead.
Enyimba secured maximum points as they handed the Libyan side their first defeat in six matches.
The Aba Elephants leads the group with 3 points after matchday one.
