Nigerian Professional Football League champions, Enyimba have been handed a tough draw a hard of the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Aba-based side were drawn alongside former PSL Champions, Orlando Pirates, Algerian side, ES Setif and former Libyan Champions Ahli Benghazi.
Enyimba secured qualification for the second tier of CAF’s club competition after defeating fellow League side, Rivers United 5-4 on penalties at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
The Aba Elephants will take on Ahli Benghazi in their first match of the group on the 10th of March at the Aba International Stadium before travelling to Johannesburg to take on Orlando Pirates seven days later.
Enyimba last played in the CAF Confederation Cup last year where they lost 1-3 on aggregate to Guinean club, Horoya in the quarter-finals.
