Europa League: Six facts to know as Manchester United take on FC Copenhagen tonight!

Manchester United are 90 minutes or more away from reaching their second European semi-finals post Sir Alex Ferguson era as the Red Devils take on Danish side, Copenhagen in the quarter-finals of the Europa League tonight.

The Red Deviis have been one of the most in-form team in the competition this season having lost just a game and conceded 3 goals so far.

The 2017 Champions come into this match in the back of a 7-1 aggregate score over Austrian side, LASK which makes them favourites.

Copenhagen finished second in their group behind Swedish side Malmo. However, Ståle Solbakken’s did enough to beat Instanbul Basaksehir 3-1 on aggregate en route to the quarter-finals.

  • Copenhagen are playing in the quarterfinals of an European competition for the first time. They are the second to so in Danish football history after Brondby played in the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup (Now Europa League) in 1990/1991 season.
  • Manchester United’s last match on German soil ended a 5-0 victory over Bayern Leverkusen.
