Ex-Super Eagles striker Obinna Nsofor acquires Italian citizenship

Former Chievo and Inter Milan striker, Victor Obinna Nsofor said he is awaiting offers from clubs in Italy after obtaining Italian citizenship.

The 33year old disclosed this in a chat with Calcio Napoli 24 and said he would love to play for Napoli, narrating how he almost joined them in the past.

Known for his rocket shots, Nsofor played for local clubs Plateau united, Kwara United and Enyimba before he joined Chievo in 2005, scoring 19 in 82 matches before moving to Inter Milan.

He played 2009-2010 at Spanish club Malaga and was loaned him to West Ham the following season. He later joined Locomotive Moscow, netting thrice in 45 appearances for the Russian giants between 2011 and 2015.

He returned to Chievo on loan from Lokomotive Moscow in 2014 before going on to play for MSV Duisburg, Darmstadt 98 and Cape Town City.

Nsofor scored 12 goals in 48 games for the Super Eagles between 2005 and 2014.
