Father Of Super Eagles’ Calvin Bassey Calls On Nigerians To Help Beg Wife, Children

Ikenna Kingsley, the Father of Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey, has called on Nigerians to plead on his behalf as he tries to reunite with his son, his two brothers, and his wife.

The father of three said his wife has denied him access to his children for close to two decades due to a misunderstanding between them since 2008.

He revealed that he has made several attempts to speak with Calvin Bassey over the years, but the Fulham defender has given him little or no audience.

Ikenna claimed that his wife only contacted him in 2017 for the renewal of the children British passports.

When asked what lead to the seperation from his wife and children, Calvin Bassey’s father said, she suddenly took the children away from Italy and relocated to the United Kingdom.

In a video chat with popular social media personality, Helen Ati, Calvin Bassey’s father pleads for forgiveness from his wife as he desperately wants to reunite with his children.

Calvin Bassey, over the years has kept his private life off social media as continues his steady rise as one of the best defenders in the Premier League.

Bassey had a remarkable outing with the Super Eagles at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations where he made it to the CAF’s Team of the Tournament.

Calvin Bassey has since returned to Fulham to help the Cottagers finish the season strong as they travel to Manchester to take on United in their next match.
