The Federal Government has declared the 30th and 31st of July as public holidays in celebration of the Eid-El-Kabir celebarion.
This was contained in statement via the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior who spoke on behalf of its Minister, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
The statement said the Minister congratulated all Muslim faithfuls home and abroad on behalf of the Federal Government and he urge them to continue to imbibe the spirit of peace, love, kindess and sacrifice as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad.
The Minister also urged Muslim faithfuls to continue to pray for the peace, unity and prosperity of the country especially in times like this when the world is witnessing a global health challenge as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
In addition, the Minister also enjoined Nigerians to observe all safety regulations as the country sustain its efforts to contain the pandemic in the country.
