Arsenal have confirmed the signing of former Chelsea playmaker, Willian Borges Da Silva on a free transfer.
The 32-year old Brazilian signed a there year deal which will keep him at the club till the summer of 2023 and he will put on the number 12 jersey.
On why be signed Willian, Arsenal boss said, the player’s ability to work in tight spaces, unlock and drag defense lines, create overloads on the fkanks are some of the reasons he signed him.
He also said his ability to score goals from open play and set-pieces and his character made him sign Williian.
In his words;
“It is many of his qualities. One is his ability to play in those tight spaces his ability to play people through unlock to drive with the ball and create overloads.”
“He is a goal threat as well both in open play and with set pieces again it is the character that I want the kind of player that when things get difficult in the game is the player that wants to take responsibility”
