Flying Eagles Win Game Against Mozambique
The Nigerian U-20 team (the Flying Eagles) have won their third Group game of the 2023 U-20 African Football Cup of Nations (AFCON) against Mozambique.
The Flying Eagles defeated Mozambique 2-0 at the Suez Canal Stadium on Saturday February 25.
Samson Lawal made it 1-0 in the 33rd minute and Ibrahim Muhammed scored the second goal in the 41st minute.
With the win the Flying Eagles have qualified for the quarter final of the competition.
Nigeria finished second in the Group with six points after three matches.
The Flying Eagles will face the Runners-up in Group B on March 3 at the Cairo international Stadium.
