Fulham, a newly promoted English Premier League club, is considering making a €12 million (5.3 billion) offer to Porto for the services of Super Eagles defender Zaidu Sanusi.
Last season, Zaidu Sanusi was outstanding for Porto, scoring three goals in 40 appearances across all competitions. In reality, it was his hat trick that ensured the Dragons’ 30th league victory in Portugal.
However, the Nigerian star is not the most well-known name in Porto, as supporters have insulted him on occasion. He was linked to a move to Turkey last summer, but nothing came of the discussions.
Despite this, Sportwitness reports that the Premier League is interested in the 24-year-old left-back. Fulham is willing to pay €12 million ($5.3 million) to Porto for Sanusi’s services.
The Cottagers are hoping to create an impression in their first season back in the English Premier League under new manager Marco Silva. The 44-year-old Portuguese manager is known for his love of offensive football, and Zaidu Sanusi, a Nigerian star who enjoys pushing forward, could be a good fit.
Getting Sanusi, on the other hand, could be difficult, as Porto is unlikely to accept anything less than €20 million for the Super Eagles defender.
