Nigerian young striker, Gift Orban is being linked to Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur according to multiple transfer reports.
The development comes after Tottenham’s all-time leading scorer Harry Kane sealed a move to German champions Bayern Munich this weekend.
The 30-year-old striker joined the 32-time German Bundesliga champions in a deal worth 100 million pounds after agreeing a four-year deal with the club.
With Harry Kane’s lead role at Tottenham now vacant, Gift Orban is now being touted as the leading replacement for the former striker who scored 280 goals in 435 appearances for the club.
Gift Orban, 20 had an exceptional 2022/2023 season for Gent in the league and in Europe as well. The Nigerian striker scored 20 goals in 22 appearances for the club.
He has also started the new season in similar fashion with 4 goals already in the UEFA Europa League qualifying round and a goal in the league after matchday 1.
Tottenham according to reports are preparing a bid worth €27m but the club have set a bench mark of €30m plus ad ons before negotiating can proceed.
