Super Eagles Manager: Gernot Rohr has given highly rated Heracles Fc striker: Cyriel Dessers his first invitation to the national team ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Sierrea-Loene.

The 25 year old has been in good form for Heracles in the Dutch Erevididsie this season with 18 goals and 5 assists in 28 matches this season so far.

Born to a Nigerian mother and a Belgian father in Tongerem, Belgium, the 25 year old decided to play for Nigeria in December 2019 ahead of Belgium.

    Football is a game of chance, now that the young lad has been given the opportunity to come and prove his worth in the national team of Nigeria, let’s see what he can bring to the table. There’s no doubt that he’s good player, but club football is quite different from national team football. All the same I wish him the best of luck.
