How I love to play – New Man Utd recruit, Donny van de Beek reveals!

Donny van de Beek said he is eager to get on the pitch with his new teammates as he revealed his favourite position and how he loves to play.

He said he’s an attacking midfielder that loves to get into the box, score goals as well well as create chances for others to score. He told the club’s official website via a video call.

He said;

I’m a midfielder that likes to go into the box – making runs, goals, assists. A lot of the time, I cover a lot of distance in games, this is also a thing that is a strength for me, to get into the box of the opponent.I

If you know me and the kind of football player I am, and my style and everything, then I think I can have a good combination with the club and the players also. If you look at the players the club has, they are young, the same age, I cannot wait to play with them.

The 23-year-old midfielder is expected to start in Man Utd’s midfield alongside Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba or play on the right of a 4-4-2 diamond set-up.

With 40 goals and 43 assists in 159 appearances for Ajax, Donny can de Beek should add more numbers to the team’s goals tally ahead of the new season.

Donny van Beek is currently with the Dutch national team ahead of their Euro Nations League matches against Poland and Italy respectively.
