How Nigerian Senators voted for and against electronic transmission of election results!

Nigerian Senators, on the 15th of July, held a vote on whether election results should be transmitted electronically via telecommunication routes or not ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The transmission of election results electronically is not only considered as a way of curbing election malpractice but also making results accessible by the public online.

The Senators voted along party lines. While the lawmakers of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) voted for the transmission of results electronically, their counterparts from the All Progressive Party (APC) voted against it.

Below are the names of the 28 Senators who voted for and 58 who voted against.
