I am not going anywhere, I will stay till the last day – Mesut Ozil, on his future at Arsenal!

Embattled Arsenal’s midfielder, Mesut Ozil said he is not going to leave the club this summer but will remain at the club till the expiration of his contract with the North London club.

Mesut Ozil, since the sacking of Unai Emery, has been in an out of Mikel Arteta’s squad with a back injury which has diminished his place in the squad as well fueling speculations of him leaving the club.

In an exclusive interview with The Atletic, the 31-year-old said he’s goiv7 to see out his current and he’s also willing to get back into the team and give us best.

My position is clear. I’m here through to the last day of our agreement and I’ll give everything I have for this club.

“I showed in the past that I can come back into the team and I will show it again.”

On why he didn’t take a pay cut, he said he’s not the inky one who didn’t take the offer but the media published only his name.

We didn’t get enough details, we just had to give a decision. This was not fair, especially for the young guys, and I refused. As far as I’m aware I was not the only player who rejected the cut in the end, but only my name came out.”

The former German international is currently on a £350k wage bill per week and his current expires next summer.

Since joining Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013, Mesut Ozil has scored 33 goals, provided 58 assists in 184 appearances for the team
