Afrobeat musician Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy said he hasn’t slept since the horrific #LekkiMassacre which happened on the 20th of October, 2020 at the Lekki Tollgate.
Reports suggest that at least 15 people died while scores got injured after men of the Nigerian Army opened fire on the peaceful #EndSARS protesters.
Burma Boy, like many other Nigerians said he has been unable to sleep since the incident happened as images of the victims keep playing in his mind.
He said he has witnessed a lot of sad occurrences in his life but the #LekkiMassacre is the most traumatising.
The 2019 Grammy Awards nominee said this via his verified Twitter page.
He said;
I HAVE NOT SLEPT since 20/10/2020. I close my eyes and all I see is Lekki toll gate. I’ve seen a lot of violence and death in my life but this is the one that has Traumatized me.
Burnaboy, one of the many Nigerian celebrities who actively took part in the #EndSARS protest called for the unity of Nigeria as he appealed to the citizens to shun tribal bigotry in an earlier tweet.
