Nigeria’s Israel Adesanya defeated Yoel Romero by unanimous decision at UFC 248 to retain his middleweight title.
Adesanya took on a very difficult fight against Romero as his number one challenger Paulo Costa recovers from injury.
Adesanya won as the three judges scored the fight 48-47, 48-47, 49-46
Adesanya now has the third-longest win streak in UFC middleweight history with eight just behind Chris Weidman who has nine and Anderson Silva who has 13.
