Gunmen, suspected to be armed bandits have launched another onslaught on female students in the North.
It was gathered that the armed bandits stormed the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Mando, Kaduna and took away a good number of female students while the males were spared.
Despite the proximity between the Campus and the Nigeria Defense Academy, the armed bandit successfully carried out the operation with little or no resistance.
According to a witness, half of the female students were taken away in the midnight raid.
“Close to half of the female students were whisked away by the bandits to an unknown location during the attack”
Mohammed Jalige, the Police spokesman in Kaduna confirmed the incident to the Peoples Gazette this morning.
It was however gathered that the rest of the students have since been to the Nigeria Defense Academy facility.
The incident, which took place at about 11:30 p.m on Thursday is the second wave of school pupil kidnapping this year after the Kagara abduction on the 17th of February.
