Men of the Nigerian police in Kano State have rescued a 35-years-old man, Ibrahim Lawan in Sheka area of the state who reportedly has been held captive by his father for the past fifteen years.
Reports have it that police detectives attached to the State Headquarters received credible intelligence and swung into action immediately as they rescued the man on Sunday morning.
Ibrahim Lawan is said to be the son of one Imam named, Mallam Lawan who was not at home when the Habu Sani, the State Commissioner of Police lead his team in the rescue operation.
Ibrahim Lawan was immediately evacuated by two health workers and was driven in an ambulance for proper treatment at the Aminu Kano Hospital.
Reports also have that he has been in incarceration since he was 20 years old.
Police in the State also rescued one Ahmad Aliyu, 30 two days ago who has been locked up in his father’s garage for the past seven years.
