A group of suspected hoodlums have attacked the prison along Benin-Sapele road and it has led to a huge number of inmates escaping from the correctional facility.
According to reports, the jail break happened as a result of accumulated grievances of the inmates against the prison officials and it has nothing to do with the #EndSARS protest.
The inmates were seen escaping from the rooftops of the correctional facility which is beside Nigeria Inion of Journalist building.
