The abductors of the Emir Kajuru, Kaduna, Ahlhassan Adamu have demanded a rasom of N200m for his release as well as 12 other people including his grandchildren and neighbors abducted with him.
He, his grandchildren, and neighbors were kidnapped at his residence in Kajuru town in the early hours of Sunday.
One of the officials of the emirate who reached out to Daily Trust confirmed that the bandits are demanding N200m for his release and the 12 others.
It was gathered that the Emir had foreknowledge about his abduction and informed security agents no less than 48 hours before the incident happened.
The Emir was said to have had a meeting with security agents on Friday afternoon as he briefed them on the impending move to attack him.
A government official who spoke to Daily Trust said the bandits had earlier requested for information about the Emir from a kidnapped Kaduna resident who regained his freedom on Thursday.
On his insistence that he had no information as regards the second class Emir, the bandits later told him that they had gotten the information they needed, the government official told Daily Trust.
