Malam Bala, 60 a d his son, Sanusi Bala, 35 have drastically died in an empty well in Kano State.
The unfortunate incident took place in Sabon Gari Bauchi neighborhood in Wudil Local Government Area of the state.
Saminu Abdullahi, the Spokesman for the Kano Fire Service Department confirmed that the incident took place on Tuesday morning.
We received an emergency call from Wudil fire station at about 11:30 a.m. from one Isma’ila Idris that two men had been trapped inside a well,” Mr Abdullahi explained. ”We immediately sent our rescue team to the scene at about 11:33 a.m. A father and his son were called to drain a well, they had successfully drained it.”

“The son went back into the well to clear it when he was trapped and suffocated.”
Then, “his father went after him to rescue him.”
“He also got trapped and suffocated due to the lack of oxygen inside the well,” added the fire service spokesman.
Mr Abdullahi revealed that the casualties were brought out of the well unconscious and later confirmed dead and that their bodies have been handed over to a police officer, Felix Gowok of Wudil model police station.
