Katsina State Government led by Governor Bello Masari has approved the holding of Ju’maat service across the state on Friday 8th of April, 2020 despite the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
In a latter signed by the secretary to the State Government: Muhhamad Inuwa, Governor Aminu Bello Masari approved that Friday prayers will be held but not for too long. In addition,it will be held under health and security measures.

Katsina State at the moment only has one confirmed case of COVID-19. However, one will recall that some irate youths attacked and burned down a police station when police attempted to stop them from holding prayers last week.
