Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho has returned to England six months after leaving for Spain.
Iheanacho joins Middlesbrough on loan from Sevilla till the end of the season.
The 28-year-old met with Boro fans at the Riverside Stadium on Monday evening before the 3-2 loss to Sunderland.
Middlesbrough also announced the arrival of Iheanacho on its social media pages.
Kelechi Iheanacho had a difficult spell at Sevilla as he struggled with injuries and game time for the Rojiblancos after joining the club from Leicester City on a free transfer last summer.
While he has three goals in two cup games, Iheanacho didn’t score any league goal for Sevilla in nine appearances.
However, as he hopes to get regular game time, the forward will look to get back to form at Middlesbrough in the English Championship.
Iheanacho offers Michael Carrick experience in attack, having played for Leicester City en route to their 2023/2024 Championship triumph.
