Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho was on target for Leicester City as they lost 2-1 away to Everton in a Premier League encounter played at Goodison Park on Wednesday, July 1st.
Iheanacho was not named among the starters by Brendan Rodgers who continued with English striker Jamie Vardy who is struggling in front of goal.
His compatriot Wilfred Ndidi was among the starters but could not prevent Everton from going ahead in the 10th minute when Richarlison converted a ball through to him by Anthony Gordon.

Everton made it a two-goal lead in the 16th minute when Gylfi Sigurdsson converted a penalty as Leicester City went to the halftime break trailing.
Rodgers brought in Iheanacho for Harvey Barnes at the start of the second half and the Nigerian repeated his manager pulling one back for Leicester City in the 51st minute.
That would be Leicester City’s only goal of the game as they failed to score an equalizer and go back home empty-handed.
The result means that Leicester City are third on the log with 55 points, just three points ahead of fifth-placed Manchester United, while fourth-placed Chelsea could leapfrog them with victory over West Ham in the London derby.
