Khabib Nurmagomedov reacts as Conor McGregor loses to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257
Dustin Poirier beat Conor McGregor by knock out in the 155 pounds lightweight fight at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the early hours of Saturday, January 24th.
The fight was supposed to be a teaser to bring back undisputed champion Khabib Nurmagomedov from retirement.
The win for Poirier means that a rematch between McGregor and Nurmagomedov is unlikely after this upset at UFC 257.
Nurmagomedov took to his official Twitter account to give his thoughts about the fight.
The statement by Nurmagomedov said, “This is what happened, when you change your team, leave the sparring partners who made you a champion and sparring with little kids, far away from reality.”
