On June 19th, 2016, LeBron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers down 3-1 to beat the Golden State Warriors and win the NBA Championship.
Both teams faced each other in the 2015 edition but Golden State Warriors emerged winners and were aiming for a repeat in 2016.
After a 73 win regular season, the Golden State Warriors were heavily favoured to retain their crown.
The Warriors won game 1 104-89 and also won game 2 110-77.
The Cavs won game 3 120-90 but suffered a 108-97 loss in game 4.
No team had come back from a 3-1 to win the NBA Championship.
However, LeBron would lead the Cavs to win game 5 112-97, game 6 115-101 and game 7 93-89 to win the first championship in franchise history.
