Lionel Messi’s boots with which he broke Pele’s record sold for £125,000!

The multicoloured Addidas boots Lionel Messi, when he broke Pele’s record for the most goals scored by an individual for a single club, has been sold for £125,000 in Barcelona.

The proceeds from the boots will be donated to support sick children at the Arts and Health Project of the Vall Hebron University Hospital.

Lionel Messi scored a brace away at Real Villadolid last December as he broke Pele’s record of 643 goals which he scored for Santos.

However, Santos has claimed that the Barcelona legend has not broken Pele’s record as he needs to score 448 more goals to do so.
