Liverpool new recruit Thiago Alcantara has tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus.
It was confirmed that Thiago had contracted the Coronavirus on Tuesday, September 29th.
Thiago was missing as Liverpool beat Arsenal 3-1 at Anfield in a Premier League encounter played on Monday, September 28th.
Liverpool took to their official Twitter account to confirm that Thiago tested positive for Coronavirus.
The message said, ‘Thiago Alcantara has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently self-isolating according to the necessary guidelines.
“The club has, and will continue to follow, all protocols relating to COVID-19 and Thiago will remain in self-isolation for the required period of time.
