Liverpool, according to sources, is just moments away from completing the signing of Spanish midfielder, Thiago Alcantara.
The Premier League Champions have agreed to pay Bayern Munich a fee in the region of β¬30m after several weeks of back and forth between both clubs.
The 29-year-old led Bayern Munich to Champions League success in Lisbon last month – his first since he left Barcelona in 2013.
Thiago was desperate to join Liverpool by weeks. During August negotiations, #LFC were ready to offer β¬20m. But Bayern MΓΌnich always asked for β¬30m and now Liverpool are gonna match the price tag. Man United just contacted his agent but never made a real bid. π΄ #LFC #MUFC

Thiago Alcantara won 16 trophies with the Bavarian giants but he told the club he wanted “a new challenge.”
It’s unclear whether the Spanish midfielder will be a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum who has been linked to Barcelona all summer.
Alcantara will slot in as either the deepest midfielder in Kloop’s 4-3-3 set up or play a more advanced role where he is considered “deadly” due to his ability to break defensive lines with pin-point passes.
