Liverpool to earn £2m from Taiwo Awoniyi move to Nottingham Forest

Should Taiwo Awoniyi’s move to Nottingham Forest be completed, Liverpool will receive £2 million.

According to the Telegraph, the Reds agreed to a 10% sell-on clause with Berlin last summer and will gain from it this summer.

According to GOAL, Liverpool paid £6.5 million for Awoniyi last summer, despite the striker never making a professional game for the Merseyside club.

The Nigerian joined the Premier League club in 2015 but was unable to obtain a work permit in the United Kingdom during his stay there. However, now that he has represented Nigeria at the international level, that is no longer a concern, and he is ready to return to the Premier League with newly promoted Nottingham Forest.

According to the Telegraph, Forest is in early talks to recruit Nigerian international Victor Moses, who will become the Premier League club’s first summer signing ahead of their return to the top flight.
